Muscle movement produces the most body heat.
Most of the time they would say in heat but that means they are going through a period.
Rats can not regulate their body heat. Most mammals can regulate their body heat when their blood is high enough.
Animals die in the desert because...They die from the heat, not enough water and not enough food.
Cold-blooded animals do not produce much body heat. Most do not produce any at all.
Endothermic animals are animals that make heat on the inside. Endo- = inside Thermic= heat Endothermic= inside heat. This includes mammals and birds.
yes some animals do as far as i know. they use the fat in their bodies to produce body heat. e.g. horses use their own body heat to keep themselves warm.
Small animals have a higher surface area-to-volume ratio compared to larger animals. This means that they have more surface area through which heat can be lost relative to their body size, leading to a faster rate of heat loss. Larger animals have a smaller surface area-to-volume ratio, which helps them retain heat more efficiently.
if you mean animals that cant produce their own heat then i know that reptiles rely on their environment for heat as well as a way to cool down. im sure amphibians would also fall in that category. cant think of any others off the top of my head...hope this helps!!!
Different animals have different ways of losing or gaining heat. Cold-blooded animals like snakes, for example, gain heat by lying in the sun. Dogs lose heat by panting, and other animals sweat to cool down.
