their is always two places its at unless its been painted over. try looking in the door maybe even under the door panel-driver side front, also try in the trunk-under carpet on top, one other place to look is under the hood. all manufacturers put atleast two in a vehicle.
On a 2003 Ford Explorer : Open the drivers door and there is an information sticker on the latch pillar You will find the axle code under " axle " Once you have the axle code you can determine the axle ratio
