The three most basic natural rights are life, liberty, & property.
Most don't know and they are not sure what they are. Some believe it is the governments job to make them happy. Not true. It is up to each person to make themselves happy. The Bill of Rights guarantees the rights listed in each amendment.
The Bill of Rights
Most people believe in an absolute set of rights, often based upon the United Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Therefore, when one of these basic rights are broken, there is a general criticism from various ethicists.
These are the most basic human rights that are not granted by government but inherent in any citizenry of a nation; in other words, they are rights that come with being human. They are among the rights affirmed (not granted) in the Bill of Rights, which are the first ten Amendments to the US Constitution.
The most important safeguard of personal liberty are all of the pieces of the United States Constitution. From the Bill of Rights to the amendments that allow for more people to enjoy basic rights.
Most people historically believed that basic rights originated from a divine source or natural law, which posited that these rights were inherent to all individuals simply by virtue of being human. Philosophers like John Locke argued that rights such as life, liberty, and property were inalienable and derived from natural law. This perspective influenced the development of democratic principles and human rights declarations, asserting that rights are not granted by governments but are fundamental and should be protected by them.

i think the definition of basic rights is - all people have these rights because they are human beings. Everyone is born with these rights and should not be taken away with out a persons agreement. Every person is born free. The basic rights are the rights that are naturaly entitled to every man and women. Amongst many, there are three that are the most basic and known in America. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. According to the United States Declaration of Independence, these rights are the most important and should never be taken away.
