the pioneers would sleep on the benches found on the sides or one on the back, middle, or front. most of the time though people didn't sleep in the wagon. they normally camped or stayed up all night that way they can continue on the trip. Also they would camp out at what we would call rest stops because normally the wagon would be filled with items that are being sold or moved.
