Fertilisation takes place externally. The female produces frog spawn and the male fertilises the frog spawn outside the female's body.

They usually meet in the fallopian tubes, but this sometimes happens in the uterus.
Typically, the sperm "swim" up to the fallopian tubes of the woman and if her egg is released from the ovary for her time of the month, the egg and sperm join in the fallopian tube and travel down to the uterus and implants itself into the wall there until the fetus is born.

uterus
the easisest way i can explain is this is when an egg meets a sperm. an egg is a male cell and egg is a female cell
Meiosis.
Pregnancy happens when one sperm cell meets one egg cell. So if the sperm gets into the vagina -- no matter what it's riding on -- pregnancy is possible!
The process when an egg cell and a sperm cell COMBINE is called Fertilization
A sperm and an egg.
the egg is larger than the sperm cell
It fuses with the membrane of the egg cell, and the content of the sperm cell enters the egg cell.
Fertilization occurs whenever a male sperm cell meets a female egg cell. For mammals, it is in the uterus, but in plants, it is the stigma and ovary.
The uniting is known as fertilisation of the egg by the sperm.
The male produces sperm cells, which carry his genes. The sperm cell meets an egg cell from the female which carries her genes. The sperm cell penetrates the egg's outer layer. This is called "fertilizing" the egg. Normally, the outer layer of the fertilized cell thickens, so no more sperm cells can enter it. The fertilized egg then travels to the woman's uterus, where it attaches to the wall of the uterus and ultimately develops into a fetus.
