Look at the equation pv=nrt Or, p=(nrt)/v This means that as pressre increases, so does the moles of gas and the temperature. Pressure is inversely related to volume, so if the volume increases, presssure decreases. Then, if pressure has increased, it was one or more of the following changes: moles of gas present increased, temperature increased, or volume decreased. Also, pressure would likewise cause these changes.

It doesn't really come from anywhere. High pressure can form anywhere when air from aloft converges aloft and then is pushed downwards, compressed, and warmed. The air then divereges at ground level. Usually the air that has been compressed and warmed doesn't have any clouds because in the process of being warmed, clouds dissipate from the compressional warming.

Hope this helped!

High grade metamorphism?

The high grade metamorphism refers to the metamorphism that takes place at temperatures that are greater than 320 degree Celsius. The high grade metamorphism also takes place at relatively high pressure.

Is Kyanite is an index mineral of a low grade metamorphism?

No, kyanite is an indicator of high pressure metamorphism.

Metamorphism involves what two conditions act on the existing rock to change it?

Metamorphism involves temperature and high pressure and chemical changes. The high pressure, chemical changes and temperature are the metamorphism that act on a rock that makes it change.

What two conditions cause intense metamorphism?

High temperature and high pressure.

What can high grade metamorphic progress to?

high grade metamorphism can progress to pressure and weather.

What process can change Sedimentary rocks into metamorphism rock?

Subduction and high pressure.

What is the difference between thermal metamorphism and regional metamorphism?

thermal is when the rock is metamorphosed by heat more than pressure. regional is the opposite. so if a rock is close to the surface and gets metamorphosed next to a pluton, it is mainly heat (its not very deep, so there is not a lot of pressure, but it gets a lot of heat from the pluton). but if a rock is very deep and far from any magma, it will be under a lot of pressure, but not a lot of heat. so thus, regional metamorphism.

Where does metamorphism take place?

Most metamorphism takes place deep underground, where high heat and pressure change the rocks, since both increase with depth.

What are the Three types of metamorphism?

contact metamorphism, regional metamorphism, dynamic metamorphism

What causes regional metamorphism?

Regional metamorphism occurs due to the change in pressure and temperature over a large region of the crust. It is the result of high pressure and elevated temperatures that are associated with deep burial in an organic belt.
