Best Answer

In the central core, with the proton of the hydrogen atom. Four protons, which have been ionized to remove their electron, are fused together. Two of the protons are changed by the weak interaction into neutrons, and you have a helium nucleus. This is accompanied by the release of energy as heat and other forms of radiation.

What is the difference between the nuclear reactions taking place in the sun and the nuclear reactions taking place in a nuclear reactor?

The sun's nuclear reactions are fusion reactions at extremely high temperatures and pressures, while the nuclear reactor's nuclear reactions are fission reactions at typical temperatures and pressures for earth.

Where are nuclear reactions in the sun?

The nuclear reactions are all over the sun but between core and surface the central part observes more.

What produces energy in the Sun alpha reactions proton splitting nuclear reactions or yellow dwarfs?

The energy output of the Sun derives from nuclear fusion reactions. A yellow dwarf is not a process, it's a type of star, of which the Sun is one.

Where the sun gets its energy?

nuclear reactions at its core

What chemical reaction produces the sun and energy?

These are not chemical reactions but thermonuclear reactions.

What is the difference between the nuclear reactions taking place in the sun and in a nuclear reactor?

the suns nuclear reactions happen at extreme temperatures we do it at lower temps

Is it true that the sun glows due to nuclear reactions in its corona?

No, the nuclear reactions are at the sun's core. It glows because the outer layers are at about 6000 degC and therefore it is incandescent

What part of the sun is responsible for the sun's energy?

The nuclear reactions in the Suns core

What do nuclear reactions on the sun produce?

Nuclear reaction inside the Sun is fusing of Hydrogen to Helium and release out thermal energy.

Does the sun glow due to nuclear reactions in its corona?

No. The sun glows because of nuclear fusion that takes place in its core.

Does magnetism produce energy in the sun?

No, the sun's energy comes from nuclear fusion reactions

Where and when has nuclear energy been used?

Nuclear weapon, nuclear (atomic) power stations. Also the Sun works on nuclear reactions.
