vampire bats live in both South America, and North America. Also in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and Chile.

A hematovore is an animal that primarily survives on drinking or siphoning blood from a host. Although hematovores can be parasites they are in a different class of animal. Some birds like ox burrowers land on big animals and drink blood from the open wounds.
