Hello there!

Viruses are usually found in animal reservoirs and some even in humans. Not to forget that some viruses stay suspended in air high up in the atmosphere due to their extremely low weight.

For example, rabies coexists in some bats and other animals without giving them the nasty symptoms, influenza type A lives in many aquatic birds, and the reservoir for smallpox (eradicated) was humans.
