Need to know the model in order to answer this.
There is normally a plug on the upper side of the transmission under the vehicle. That is where you add oil. Add oil until it runs out. It is then full.
How do you add transmission fluid to a Nissan Altima with standard transmission?
you pour it in :)
Top plug on the side of a standard transmission (on the passenger side of the vehicle). I believe it uses 5w-30 motot oil.
Get a lube shop to do it.
Thru dipstick tube
Through the dipstick tube.
To add gear oil to a 1987 Suzuki Samurai's standard transmission, locate the fill plug on the transmission case, which is usually on the side. Use a socket wrench to remove the plug, then pour the appropriate gear oil (typically GL-4) into the fill hole until it reaches the bottom of the plug opening. Reinstall the plug securely after filling. Always consult your owner's manual for specific oil specifications and capacities.
Fluid is added through the transmission dipstick.
