You add fluid at the same place you check the fluid level. Takes a special funnel. If there is no place to check the level, then it is a sealed for life transmission.
Remove the transmission oil pan
4.5 quarts
Not usually. The dipstick is used to check the oil level. Oil is added where the oil filler cap is - usually located on the valve cover and will screw counterclockwause for removal. That is unless you are talking about transmission fluid in which case the dipstick hole is the same place where you add fluid. On the Sunfire/Cavalier 2.2 engine YES you do add the oil and check the oil in the same place the dipstick is attached to the oil cap.
5w30
If you mean transmission oil, you don't add any. The transmission is sealed, it never needs oil.
Use only SAE 5w30.

About 2 quarts but always safe to read your owners manual.
There is normally a plug on the upper side of the transmission under the vehicle. That is where you add oil. Add oil until it runs out. It is then full.
The 2002 E2.2L engine 4speed auto does not have a transmission dipstick!! To check the fluid level you have to go under the car and unscrew and remove a threaded plug in the transmission pan. The car must be level when you do this. After you remove the plug, check to see if any transmission fluid is dripping from the hole. If there is then you don't need transmission fluid. If it is not dripping fluid you need to add some. You add fluid until it begins dripping from the hole. You then replace the plug. To add fluid you must find and unscrew a threaded cap found by looking under the hood on the driver's side on top of the transmission. Sometimes the cap is red and sometimes it is black. You may find it easier to go to a quick oil change place and get them to check it for you.
On manual transmission until oil flows out of full level hole. on most manual transmission the refill hole is the oil level. On automatic transmission if no oil shows on dipstick add a quart at a time.
Inside the transmission - remove transmission oil pan for access
