as for sims 1, I am not sure but I do know it will play in compatibility mode if you have any problems

Yes, The Sims 2 University expansion pack is compatible with Windows Vista. You need The Sims 2 original stand-alone game before the expansion pack will work. If you have problems running it on Windows Vista, try right-clicking on the shortcut and choosing "Run as Administrator..." and then choosing "Allow" when the dialog box pops up.
