Yes, you enter in a redeem code as if you were getting points, and I believe you have to download it from the market. I will answer more honestly as soon as i know, I recently bought a copy of hardened from Amazon and I'm waiting for it to get here. :)

Once you reach level 70 online, you have the option to go to Prestige. When you enter Prestige your rank will be set to 1, but you will receive a Rank Emblem, showing that you are a First Prestige.
