Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid is used in the transfer case according to the 2000 Ford F-350 owners manual
To change the transmission fluid in a 2015 Ford F-350 with an automatic transmission, start by warming up the vehicle and then turn it off. Locate the transmission fluid pan, remove the drain plug to let the old fluid drain out, and replace the filter if applicable. After the fluid has fully drained, reinstall the drain plug, and refill the transmission with the appropriate type of fluid through the dipstick tube, checking levels as you go. Finally, run the engine and cycle through the gears to ensure proper circulation and check for any leaks.
A typical Turbo 350 transmission fill tube is the same tube that holds the transmission dip stick. It would be located in back of the engine, a little to the passenger side.
