Mewtwo is deep within the cave. The only move you would need it surf. But If you want to get through it without going back for items, have a Pokemon with rock smash and Strength. It takes awhile to get to him, but you can do it! I've played Firered 3 times, and I'm like a pro at that cave. But when HG/SS came out, I didn't know what to do. Since the newer games have cliffs and mountains ( unlike the old games) I was all confused. Just keep adventuring the cave, you'll find it.
