Large Monster Bones vary from different monsters. You can get them from monsters like the bulldrome, Rathalos, Rathian, and other large monsters. Monsters like apotonoth, popo, and other monsters like them do NOT give large monster bones. For more information, visit monsterhunter.wikia.com
In Monster Hunter 3, Mystery Bones can be found in various locations throughout the game, particularly in the underwater areas and certain quests. You can typically gather them by exploring the ocean floor or by breaking specific environmental objects. Additionally, they can also be obtained as rewards for completing certain quests or missions. Keep an eye out for sparkling spots in the water, as they often indicate collectible items like Mystery Bones.
Monster Keenbone is randomly dropped from the following large monsters (High-Rank, 6 Stars+ only): Anjanath (High-Rank, Ancient Forest) Barroth (High-Rank, Wildspire Waste). ☺

in the desert area you can sometimes find them in plants in area 1,3 and 5.
Most medium sized monsters drop them, but I think the best way is to kill apcerpos in the desert or volcano.
