Where to find marowak in pearl?

In Pokémon SoulSilver, you can find Marowak by going to the Safari Zone and heading to the desert area however you first have to go to the old man and talk to him and then you have to go catch a Geodude in the first area. You have to have it in your Pokémon party and then talk to him, walk around for a couple days and he will call you and you have to catch a Sandshrew but first you have to go over to the weird machine and change an area to desert not Savannah and then go to that area and try to catch a Sandshrew in that area where there are Marowak, Cubone, Sandshrew and Sandslash, show the Sandshrew to the Old Man and then you are now in control of the Safari Zone and its customization.

There are two ways I know of that you can get one. One you can go to the safari, they are aplenty in there.

Two, you could catch the one in the Pokemon tower after getting the silph scope
