Two types of silver dollars were minted in 1921.
If it's the more common Morgan design (eagle's wings spread) the mint mark location is above the DO in DOLLAR.
No mint mark = Philadelphia
D = Denver
S = San Francisco
The much scarcer Peace design (wings folded and the word PEACE on the back) was only minted at Philadelphia and thus doesn't have a mint mark. the "P" mint mark wasn't used on $1 coins until 1979.
You can't find the "mint state" on a coin. That's a term relating to the coin's condition, and loosely means that the coin looks exactly like it did the day it came from the mint.

Two types of silver dollars were issued in 1921, a Morgan dollar and a Peace dollar. The easy way to tell the difference is on the reverse (back) of a Peace dollar the eagles wings are folded, on the Morgan they are spread out. Post a new question after you find out which one you have.
The "Mercury" coin is a dime. In addition the P mint mark was first used on $1 coins starting in 1979 so that letter can't be on a 1921 dollar. A 1921 Morgan Dollar (eagle on reverse with spread wings facing forward) is the most common silver dollar and is valued by its silver content. A 1921 P Peace Dollar (eagle perched in profile) is one of the harder dates to find and is worth at least $50 badly worn and a few hundred if uncirculated.

You can't. The Carson City mint only operated from 1870 to 1893. 1921 silver dollars were minted at Philadelphia (no mint mark), Denver (D) and San Francisco (S).
The type of dollar coin at the time was called a Morgan dollar. Run a search on Google Images to find a picture. They were minted 1878-1904 and again in 1921.

There's no such coin. The Morgan design was used on most 1921 silver $1 coins, while half dollars from that time carried A. A. Weinman's famous walking Liberty image.
Type in Peace dollar in your browser and click images.
you can find it ABOVE the DO in dollar on the back
Run a search through Google Images. It looks the same as any other Peace dollar, just with the date 1921.
It depends on the series. Post a new question and include the type of silver dollar.
