It has 2 flasher relays. One for the turn signal and one for the hazard lights. Both are located above glove box behind the dash. You have to pull out glove box, by removing the two small screws at the bottom of your glove box that hold it to the hinge. Then slide out the box. Next look up behind the dash with a light and you will see a round green flasher and a round yellow flasher. Green for hazards, yellow for turn signals. Just unplug the old one and pull it out and install the new one. Then check to make sure the signals works again. And put every thing back together. Takes about 10 Mins.
Mercury Zephyr was created in 1978.
The turn signal relay is underneath the dashboard on the drivers side in the fuse box. If you are looking for the acutal turn signal its on the steering column.
Flasher should just "plug in" either next to or inside fuse box located by steering column under dash
I'm not sure exactly where it is in a 78.....but in my 79 it's on the drivers side under the dash in the fuse box.
It is right next to your fuse box. Left side of bike under the side cover. it's a silver rectangle with two wires on it.
I have yet to find the fuse box, however I found the turn signal flasher Over the glove box. Had to remove the glove box to get to it. Thought I'd share this just in case. Gabriel (Puerto Rico).
