In arable farming areas. Where I live (in the east of England) there are many windmills. In some areas (the Norfolk Broads in England, or parts of Holland) you see what appears to be windmills, but they are actually wind pumps - pumping water out of marshy areas to reclaim land.
i guess if you are looking to buy one they dont come complete but must be built.Out in palm springs or desert hot springs there are a number of them used to create energy.Not very cost efficient as of yet.
