I have owned 2 mondeo mk1 cars for a period of five years and they never let me down. The only issue I had was that my timing belt snapped because I didn't change it on time (I should have changed it at 60,000 miles, it snapped at 100,000 !). But after renewal she went fine again! So all in all mondeo's are reliable cars and really good value for money. Cheers, Niels
Look for a sticker on the inside of the rear door frame.
To fix the remote central locking on a Ford Mondeo, start by checking the key fob battery and replacing it if necessary. If the battery is fine, reprogram the key fob by inserting it into the ignition and turning it on and off in a specific sequence (usually involving pressing a button on the fob). If the issue persists, inspect the car's central locking mechanisms and wiring for faults or consider consulting a professional for further diagnostics.
To remove grill marks from a Ford Mondeo, first clean the area with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth to remove any dirt or grease. Then, use a plastic or rubber clay bar to gently rub the affected area, which can help lift embedded contaminants. If the marks persist, consider using a fine polishing compound or scratch remover, applying it with a microfiber cloth in a circular motion. Finally, wash and wax the area to restore shine and protect the finish.
Yes, I did and it worked out fine. If it has engravings in it, it might be difficult, but it should be fine!
The substances in OIL paints will melt styrofoam. Latex paint is fine on it.
In the dash. on passenger side. Disassembly required to veiw the code
Every color of paint has a specific code that is used to look up the appropriate mixture of colors, metallic, and pearl for that specific color of paint. So Aquarius Blue would have its own paint code (often located in the driver's door jamb) which can be used to look up the appropriate mixture. Shops use a computer/scale combination to measure out the exact amounts of each color needed in grams and then they mix it, reduce it, and spray it. You can probably go to a local body shop and buy some paint and have them mix it for you, but it can be expensive. Also be aware that most colors have variants that are slightly more green or blue or yellow... than the original color. Painters use these variants to try to match the paint as best as they can to your car, and then they go through a process of tinting where they paint a small square on your car and continue to fine tune the paint mixture until it matches perfectly.
It sounds like there may be an issue with the central locking system or the door mechanisms on your Ford Mondeo. Check the fuses related to the central locking, as a blown fuse might affect its operation. If the fuses are fine, it could be a problem with the door lock actuators or the central locking module itself. Consulting a professional mechanic may be necessary to diagnose and resolve the issue effectively.
All the paint that is sold now is safe. None of them contain lead. So any paint you choose will be fine.
In an Aston Martin Rapide, the paint code can typically be found on a label located in the driver’s side door jamb. It may also be present in the vehicle's service book or on the manufacturer's certificate of authenticity. If you're unable to locate it, consulting the owner's manual or contacting an Aston Martin dealership can provide assistance.
Most enamels will work just fine. (make sure the base has been sanded with fine sandpaper to give the surface some tooth for the paint to adhere to)
