Depression is simply a chemical imbalance in your brain. It's not about being sad, that is another thing entirely. Your brain sends chemical signals like endorphins for example to signal you to be happy about something for instance. If your brain isn't making enough of these chemicals you may have depression. Only a licensed phycologist or doctor can really diagnose it so that would be your first step. Determine if you actually have depression or is something else causing your problem. Don't try to hide it because it's not your fault and like any other sickness needs to be treated.
