Where do you get goose bummps?

You get goose bumps on your skin. Each one of your hairs has a very small muscle (arrector pili) attached to it.
When this muscle contracts, it causes the hair to stand upwards pushing some of the skin into a tiny hill. What you will see is a goose bump. You don't notice that the hairs are also up. But the same thing occurs in other animals and they appear larger.
