Here is the best way to catch Latias/Latios.

Don't use your masterball to catch any Pokemon. After you've beaten the Elite 4, use the cloning trick (if you do not know how then check it out on YouTube. No GameShark/action replay required). Make sure that the Pokemon you are cloning is holding your masterball. Not only will your Pokemon be cloned, but the masterball too. You'll have to do some searching for Latias/Latios, but simply use one of the cloned Masterballs to quickly capture the Latias/Latios.

It is also good if you get a golbat, that knows the move Mean Look. That way Latias can't escape. If you have run into Latias before then you can check in your Pokedex where in the world it is, go after it and catch it. People say to use masterballs. I don't have any and I am working on catching it. I am sure that if you use Mean Look and get Latias' HP down low enough, then you could catch it with a ultra ball.

first you must beat the elite four. when you do credits will come up.you can watch them or just turn the gameboy advance off, and on.it wont delete anything. when your game loads you should be in your room.go downstairs, and your mom should say something about a flying Pokemon.if you want to see latais, pick red, and if you want to see latios, pick blue.(do know this ONLY works in emerald)

Stand outside a building near a patch of grass and look at your pokedex to see where latias is. If it's not in the route your in walk inside the building then back out again and check to see if it's in your route. Keep trying this until latias is in your route. IMPORTANT: whenever you change routes or go into a building latias will move to a different place. Once latias is in your route place a golbat in the front of your party. Make sure your golbat knows the move mean look so latias cannot run away. Also make sure Golbat's level is higher than the wild Pokemon in your route but lower than Latias's level. Now use a repel or max repel. Now all the Pokemon you see in the wild must have a higher level than your golbat forcing any wild Pokemon you see to be latias. I think Latias's level is 40 so your golbat should idealy be level 39. It would also help to equip golbat with quick claw so you can use mean look before Latias flees. Now walk into some grass. If you don't have many repels, you can just spin around in one square of grass without using up any steps. Once you see a wild Pokemon, it should be latias. Now use mean look so it cannot run away. Just keep widdling down Latias's hp until it is in the red. Then keep throwing ultra balls at it until you catch it. You could also inflict it with a status problem so it is easier to catch. Just stay away from burning and poison because you could accidentaly kill it. I hope that helps and good luck.

by the way, after it uses struggle a few times, it should be low enough on hp for you to catch it with a timer ball, yours, nagagedon

Have a high leveled Pokemon that knows mean look. Once mean looks hits latias, it will work, I've captured it by this way: catching a salbye that knows mean look in sky pillar which level is between 45 or 50 because using golbat might get defeated because of it's type. Whenever latias attacks salbye it will have no effect on it.

When you defeat the Elite Four and the Champion go talk to your Mom and she will say that she saw a Pokemon in the sky. Say Red because Latias is better than Latios then go outside and make sure it is on your route. If not keep on going in and back until it goes onto your route. I didn't catch mine yet. It keeps on fleeing. I suggest using MEAN LOOK or ARENA TRAP or something that can't make it run away. Then it will ruin prewtty much 93% of getting Latias or Latios. but choose red because LATIAS is better than LATIOS.

Well if you are trying to catch lati@s he will always flee the first chance it has. So mean look wouldn't work as he would flee before you use it. The best Pokemon to use would be wobbuffet as he has a special move that prvents the foe from fleeing. Trapinch's special move Arena Trap is stupid as flying Pokemon can escape it. Also lati@s always is on the move so what you should do is go to fortree vilage, save the game and look in the grass. If by the 3rd or 4th battle he isn't their then turn off the power and try again. As i said the Only Pokemon that can help you is wobbuffet. Also try not to use the masterball for anyone but lati@s as he is the only one of the best Pokemon that flees

get a wobbufet (35-40) that has mirror coat, buy at least 30 ultra balls and timer balls. after you have done that go to forrtree and go east , go to the water and go near the cave (scorched slab) he will appear then use mirror coat then it will attack it cannot flee bec. wobbuffet has a special move .attack it then it will attack you use a hyper potion if you have . keep attacking until it hp is red or yellow. then throw an ultra ball keep pressing ab when it bounces, opens or sparks keep throwing until the fifth try you catch it then use one timer ball just one then an ultra ball again. if he is not there go to the sandstorm or go to slateport go north and go to the patch of grass, 3 Pokemon appears if latias or latios does not appear enter the the entrance of cycling road , go out and do the same keep doing it until you get tired

the way to get latias is to talk to the lady at the hot spring ( not in the pool next to ) she will give you an egg when it hatches it will be a wynaut ( before wobbefet ) it will not let latias escape the battle. ( it can be on any route ) level wynaut up a bit though its only level 5. so you don't have to go to safari zone and catch wobbefet. ( hope it helped : in emerald in went to lilycove(buy about 25 max repels for this)!!go to the safari zone get a level 40 wobbuffet that knows mirror coat. when you first see latias just run and save! now she is in your pokdex and you can track her. she moves a ton so bring lots of ultra balls. same with latios but he was under the bike path thing south of mauville, down in the bottom right where you see this guy go right next to him and just run in that grass below the little space where u can surf if you don't run into him within the first 3 times then fly to mauville go back to the spot and search until u find him. again with latias she moves almost everytime u change cities/towns! it gets very frustrating!!!! but you will find her at some point. :) good luck!

latias can be found randomly among the grasses.

it's better not to look for it..

when you manage to meet it it's ok because it can be registered to your pokedex and everytime latias changes location you can search for it in the red area on the map..but be sure to prepare ultraballs and tons of max repels..

you usually see Latios when u are trying to complete the POKEDEX because u are trying to find all kinds of pokemons. you may accidentally meet LatiiosYou shouldn't run or use bike because that might scare Latios and it might teleport to somewhere else. I met my Latios in the tall grass between Fortree City and the berry Matser's house. When you meet Latios try to catch it or use a master ball. It is ok if u don't have a master ball. If u failed to catch it. It is okay. Catch a wobbuffet(frogot the name) in the Safri Zone. Train it to about level 32-36. Buy ALOT of Timer Balls, poke-ultra balls and some hyper potions. Put wobbufet in front of your party. and Fly to LilyCove City. Check where Latios is in your pokeDex. Keep flying on LilyCove City and check where Latios is until it is in the grass patch near LilyCove city. Now you have to WALK to the grass patch and try your luck finding Latios. When u find it, Use Counter or Mirror Coat. That should make it to the red health bar. Then u have to use a lot of poke-Ultra balls. Remeber don't make Latios faint or your Wobbbuffet faint. After about 20 turns, it is time to use timer balls. You will definiteyy catch latios.

watch the t.v in your house then say red for latias or blue for latios. you have to defeat the elite four then you get a wabaffet lv 30-40, put it in your party and then latios or latias will appear i recomend having a level 40 wabaffet there stronger and faster and you will need all the strength and speed you can get!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope this helps

After defeating Wallace, back at Littleroot Town, there has been reports of a "BZZT... colored" Pokemon. If this "BZZT... color" is red, it's Latias, but if blue, it's Latios. Choose what this "BZZT... color" is and search Hoenn for it. Latias and Latios move around and are not easy to encounter. The other "BZZT... colored" Pokemon can be obtained by the Eon Ticket event. This one does not escape from battle whilst the roaming "BZZT... colored" one does. The ability Shadow Tag will stop it from fleeing. Shadow Tag only! Lati(a/o)s has Levitate and ONLY Levitate, which renders Arena Trap useless. Ensure ALL of the Pokemon in your team have Shadow Tag ability.

After you beat the elite four, they will start appearing to you. They're SUPER rare to find, and not easy to catch. Get a tranpinch in the desert and it has it's arena trap ability. When you find latios or latias bring your tranpinch out so either of them can't run away at all. wear them down WITH your tranpinch. Note: If you shift tranpinch out then arena trap will wear off.
