Sea Salt. You need to carry a bottle of "Sea Salt" water with you because you need to rinse every time you smoke, eat, kiss, or do anything besides talk.
for tongue piercings YES. but i don't recommend it for swellings or cracks, bcause it will hurt a lot and i doesn't do anything. saltwater is just for new piercings to heal and prevent from infections.
Absolutely, I have always used just sea-salt soaks on my piercing and have never had a problem and actually healed faster than most people. However, you must be sure to wash the area (maybe not the piercing directly) with an antibacterial soap, and if it's your tongue you will want to use an alcohol free mouthwash along with the salt soaks.
Yes. Natural sea salt. Table salt can have things added to it and that can be bad for the piercing. Its just the safest bet :)
Natural Sea Salt and tap water. I use a pinch of salt for a shotglass amount of warm water. or you can use 1/4 tsp of salt for 8 oz water.
Salt water is great for cleansing sores in your mouth (gargling it at least). Can't see why that would be bad for cleansing your tongue piercing. (Just don't swallow! Ouch.)
Warm water is really the only alternative. You definitely need to either pick up some natural sea salt or alcohol-free mouthwash ASAP
You don't want to put Epsom Salt OR table salt on ANY piercing. They contain sugar and will cause infection. The ONLY thing to put on a fresh piercing is SEA SALT. Using 1/4tsp of sea salt with 8oz. of warm water, and soak the piercing for about 10 minutes twice a day. It is the best thing to help heal your piercing. When you are in the shower, use Dial soap to clean it also. But sea salt soaks are amazing for helping heal a piercing.
A tongue piercing is a piercing through the tongue or any part of the tongue, including the web underneath.
what do you if you get a puss pocket in your tongue after a tongue a piercing"
Either a mixture of natural sea salt and water or an alcohol-free mouthwash. Mouthwash makes it feel a bit cleaner/fresher imo.
use warm salt water.. swill it round... spit:)
