After you beat her you can use the move Rock climb outside of battle. There is one catch though, you have to find that HM in the blizzard in the snow just before lake Acuity. Once you get it you can help your rival at lake Acuity.

∙ 12y agoYou go to Wally's house, and get surf. Teach surf to an aqautic Pokemon. Fly to Mauville city, go to the right side of the city until you reach the beach. Use surf to go and travel to Fortree City. Defeat Winona (flying type gym leader, I suggest use ice and electric type Pokemon.)
