I am guessing that you might find that Scientology may help fulfill your need for religion.
They both believe in God & the Devil, & that in the Afterlife, there is Heaven & Hell.
The concepts of heaven and hell, as we know them, appear to have entered Judaism at the end of the Babylonian Exile, although they appear not to have been fully accepted by the Sadducees. The concepts of heaven and hell would have been accepted by the very earliest followers of Christianity.
Heaven, hell, and a final judgement
Several religions believe in the concepts of heaven and hell, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, and some forms of Hinduism and Buddhism. These concepts generally involve a belief in an afterlife where individuals are rewarded or punished based on their actions in life.
The notion of Heaven and Hell exists in the religion of Christianity. To learn more about Hell, one would be best to look in the Bible for further information.
According to Christianity, when we die, our souls are judged by God and sent to either heaven or hell based on our beliefs and actions in life.
This is a complex issue. Christianity has not invented heaven and hell. The concept of a heaven and a hell predates Christianity and in some ways it is common throughout mankind. The ways of describing heaven and hell varies of course from one religion to another and indeed in one part of the church to another. Heaven and hell is not seen as a physical place in most current theological debate, more as states of being in which the quality of either compassionate love is fulfilled in the surviving spirit of the person which is in communion with God who is good or for a spirit that is bound by hatred, greed, revenge and indifference to life this is ultimately hellish and completely destructive. The capacity that man has for either becoming more compassionate, loving and kind or unking resentful or hatefilled is what true christianity is about as it fosters the former, and stands against evil which is the later. Exposure to Christianity is a good thing, and not one which can cause the kind of behaviour that Mr Lanzas exhibited which is the opposite.
Reincarnation is not a christian belief. You are either sent to heaven for eternity or hell for eternity, or you go to purgatory.
If there really is a heaven, you probably can not leave, because the alternatives are no-existence (Judaism), hell (Christianity and Islam), or a return to earth, presumably forever. If there is no heaven, then you will never really go there.
According to Christianity, after death, believers go to heaven to be with God for eternity, while non-believers face judgment and may go to hell.
You can in heaven but not in hell
To Heaven from Hell was created in 1997.
