Fill through dipstick tube
on the 5 speed manuel theres a plug on the side of the transmission, remove the plug and use a syphon pump to add fluid until it starts to pour out the hole. to remove the existing fluid remove the plug from the bottom of the transmission.
You add transmission fluid down the dipstick tube.
You add transmission fluid at the same place you check it.
check transmission fluid for correct amount or being dirty if fluid is ok your transmission is wearing out
The manual transmission on a 91 Ford Escort GT is filled with fluid by gently depressing the clutch with the engine off. Fluid is added to the reservoir until the level stops going down.

What fluid? Engine oil, transmission oil, power steering oil, coolant fluid, brake fluid.
It all depends on the type of transmission the truck has, if it is manual than manual transmission fluid is used where if it is automatic, automatic transmission fluid is used Not always, my 91 302 with a 5 speed manual uses auto fluid, a lot of manuals do.
