Obviously whoever designed the transmission for it was educated beyond their intelligence and got the bright idea to either save a little space or a couple of dollars to build it and left it off. Now that being said there is a place to check the level and add more if it needs it but getting to it is a major pain and trying to add more is even worse. Look on top of the transmission on the drivers side you should see a piece of metal pipe for the exhaust look for a red cap under that pipe and there you go
In the transmission.
lost soulwhat kind of transmission fluid is used in 1998 Hyundai elantra, and where do you put the fluid
Through dipstick tube.
Through the dipstick tube
Down same tube that holds trans dipstick.
In the transmission.
Same place the dipstick is. Use a long skinny funnel.
Sounds more like a transmission mount. When you drive it if it doesnt jump when it shifts gears then more than likely its a mount.
if its an automatic you put it in through the filler tube or trans dipstick tube if manual on the side of the transmission
You put the Transmission Fluid in the Transmission (fill point transmission drip stick tube)
The very same place you check the fluid level. You will need to purchase a funnel used to add fluid to an A/T.
The transmission will fail.
