You can begin Fletching anywhere, provided you are a member with a paid subscription active. To start, chop down a regular tree. Then left-click and select your knife, followed by arrow shafts. You will next need to smith a bar of your selection; bronze is good for beginner fletchers.

Smith the bar into arrowheads - by default, you gain 15 arrowheads per bar, and 15 arrow shafts per log. The last material you'll need are feathers - these can be any feather; chickens and most birds available in the Hunter skill offer feathers.

When you have these three materials, use the feathers on the arrow shafts to create flighted, headless arrows. Then combine the arrowheads to complete a set of arrows. This is quick, basic experience. As you level up, you can make more equipment - such as bows, crossbows, arrows, bolts and much more as you gain higher levels in the skill.

By 99, you can get a Fletching Cape of Accomplishment in Catherby. From level 1, the best place you can start is Burthorpe. :)

How long does it take to get to 99 fletching?

Well, it depends entirely on what level you are bow, and what you're fletching. If you're level 1, then the average time, if you're constantly fletching is about 3 months. I'm level 80 fletching and it took me about 2 weeks to get there, and i reacon i could get 99 within the next two months. It also depends on how much money you have, If you're not too rich, it's suggest fletching willow bows due to the price of willow logs (around 9gp). Then wait until you have enough money to make yews to 99.

How many maple logs starting from 70 fletching does it take to get 99 fletching on runescape?

first of all i would use yews and string them so you get 150 xp per bow (once strung) and you make 23 gp a bow which is very good. from 70 fletching till 90 fletching i have used over 30000 yew logs and strung then so it takes maybe 1-2 weeks (2-3 hours a day) Fletching can be very boring so you must be patient! hope this helps!
