Depends on the year and the engine. On the 93's 3800 you remove the upper coolant hose nipple from the top right block and its right there. You just pick it up.
Take the filler neck off and the thermostat will be right there
You will first need to take out the old thermostat. After ensuring that you have the right product, insert the new thermostat.
hey, take that thermostat and shove it up your butt
U take the thermostat out, get a pot of water, put the thermostat in it and start it to boiling. When the water reaches the temp that the thermostat is designed to operate at it should open , if not , it is defective
take off the air manifold, and under it is a big black box (thermostat housing), take off thermostat housing gasket (smaller black piece on top of housing and thermostat is inside it.
The thermostat is in the rear left tire, you need to take the trunk off and then take the tire off and take it to a shop and have them remove it.
Yes you can.
It varies from one engine to another but in most cases you drain a few qts of coolant from the radiator, remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing on the engine side then remove the thermostat housing to gain access to the thermostat. Take note of how the thermostat is installed, the spring faces into the engine.
The thermostat housing is at the end of the big hose going to the radiator on top of the engine. Take the hose loose from the housing and take the 2 bolts out of the housing to replace the thermostat. REMEMBER......The spring on the thermostat always goes towards the engine.
Take of the bracket with the pulley. Should be two bolts on the right and a nut on the left. Loosen the three bolts for the thermostat cover. Remove the cover take out the thermostat. Reapply sealant to the cover add new thermostat and reinstall bolts. Your done. That easy. Should take about an hour to complete.
You first have to remove your air filter housing in order to get to your thermostat. Once you have done that you should be able to look down and it should be right beside and below the intake manifold you have two bolts one you can visibly see and the other directly across form but on the other side of the thermostat housing. Once you take of those two bolts the thermostat housing should come off. Then there is your thermostat. you may need to take a small hammer or something to hit with to take out the old thermostat with just in case it is hard to take off by hand and there you go you have cahnged your thermostat.
The hose that goes in the top of the engine, the thermostat is in the hose.Unscrew the hose take the thermostat out and replace,Very easy
