Yes! The orthodontist I saw growing up would pull 12 year molars, leaving room for wisdom teeth to grow. I had my 12 yr molars pulled when I was a tween and my wisdom teeth came in around my early 20s. I have never had a problem with them. Not sure why all dentists don't practice this - my only thought is that it dentists make more $$ for the surgery.
