The SONG takes place entirely inside a check-out counter at a major store or shopping center, I would guess the Two Guys ( obsolete since l98l) type. It is a morbid songs. The kid"s mother is dying, and we never learn the cause, there is something run-down and decrepit about the child as well. How would a kid know his mother"s shoe size? Besides many- I can"t say all, people are buried barefoot- the half=couch or (Playing Card) presentation is standard in many funeral parlors. Funeral Parlors do not belong in Christmas songs!
