At this point in his presidency, he has not come out in favor of legalizing drugs, nor has any other president.
At this point, the president has not said he supports legalization of marijuana. In an election year, it is doubtful he would take a stand on such a controversial issue. He has been very honest about his own youthful drug use, but he has not said much about his future plans regarding legalization or decriminalization.
drug legalization
Cigarettes are a powerfully addicting drug. However, President Obama has since quit smoking entirely.
Obama believes the government should do more for the poor. He pushes for government subsidized health insurance, citizenship for illegal immigrants and pardons for reformed drug offenders in prisons.
wouldn't you love to know..
Obama's drug "czar" has said that marijuana legalization is a non-starter in his administration. He has said that they would not bother medical users/dispensaries operating withing their respective state laws, however the DEA continues to raid state licensed facilities.
THey can't get killed in a drug deal!
they both are good people so i can't chose Michael Jackson was a drug addict and child molester. It's not even close.
Obama says he would consider raising the eligibility age for Medicare from 65 to 68. His "obamacare" health plan that he pushed through Congress already makes some changes in Medicare, especially in prescription drug coverage and payments to doctors and hospitals, when and if it takes full effect. I do not think he has more big plans to change Medicare. He is strongly in favor of universal health care insurance. (He does not seem to have any workable plans for cutting health care costs.)
if drugs were legalized, the crimes associated with drug use would be eliminated.
The name "Barack" is an Arabic name that means "blessed." Several middle-eastern languages have similar names, including the Hebrew version, which is "Barukh."
