The premonition of his death is Caesar's ghost telling Brutus he is going to see him at Philippi.
Brutus was the son of Caesar's long time mistress, Servillia. He was also the recipient of Caesar's clemency after the battle of Pharsalas as Brutus had fought on the side of Pompey against Caesar. Because of this clemency, Brutus was honor bound to either be a supporter of Caesar or to remain neutral. This made his participation in Caesar's assassination so much more appalling.
Brutus is saying that he doesn't know what time it is.
60 members of the senate in Rome at the time, as well as Caesar's good friend Marcus Junius Brutus. When Caesar saw Brutus running at him with the dagger, supposedly he said, "Et ti, Brute" ( And you Brutus?)
The men need Brutus to join their conspiracy. Brutus' name hold much weight and favor with the people in Rome. The men approach Brutus' house to see if he will join them, and if so, how the plan to assassinate Caesar will happen. When Brutus agrees to be a part of the plan, he immediately becomes the leader of the group, a position that may have come naturally to him, since he is their host at the time. They decide that Cicero will be left out of their plan (at Brutus' recommendation) and that Mark Antony not be touched (another recommendation of Brutus). Decius also volunteers to flatter Caesar to make sure he comes to the Capitol the next day.
He only sees the ghost once.

Marcus Brutus's father was Marcus Brutus the Elder. His mother was Servilia Caepionis. After Brutus's father died, his mother became the mistress of Julius Caesar and because of this there grew a rumor that Caesar was the father of Brutus. This is highly unlikely, as Caesar would have only been about 14 years old at the time of Brutus' conception, not impossible, but highly unlikely.Marcus Brutus's father was Marcus Brutus the Elder. Julius Caesar had an affair with Brutus' mother, Servilia. It is possible that Caesar was Brutus' father, but that is disputed by historians.

Marcus Brutus...was an idealist, supported one of Caesar's enemies at one time, feared Caesar's ambition, married to Portia. Caius Cassius...thin, quick-tempered, held a grudge against Caesar, Brutus' brother-in-law.
Portia was the wife of Brutus in the time of Julius Caesar. Brutus was the one who killed Caesar, and Portia suspected a plot to assasinate Caesar. She killed herself by swallowing hot coals. She is famous because she was involved in the murder of Caesar, and in in Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, as well she is in the movie adaptions.
The new government was the republic. But Caesar had nothing to do with forming it, neither did the Brutus who was one of Caesar's assassins. It was an ancestor of Marcus Brutus who helped expel the last king and who also became one of Rome's first consuls. The Caesar clan was not politically active at the time. The new government was the republic. But Caesar had nothing to do with forming it, neither did the Brutus who was one of Caesar's assassins. Brutus held great respect for Antony, despite Antony's friendship with Ceaser. Antony openly decieved Caeser in Act 3, but following this, he begins to respect Brutus and once finding Brutus's body, he calls him "The nobelest roman of all."
