He thought he would see himself sitting in his usual spot. But as we learn Scrooge had past away the night before
To the future, Scrooge's future, but the ghost of Christmas future really doesn't talk, just pointed, but Scrooge new his future was screwed. At the end he did survive.
Scrooge initially fears the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come because it represents the unknown future and the consequences of his actions. As he experiences the visions of the future, he becomes remorseful and understands the importance of changing his ways to avoid a bleak future for himself and others. Ultimately, Scrooge embraces the lessons taught by the spirit and resolves to make amends.
He teaches Scrooge that you can change your future if you become a better man.
The ghost did not show Scrooge his own Christmas present because Scrooge had the ability to change his future actions and shape his own destiny. By witnessing the consequences of his current behavior, Scrooge was given the chance to amend his ways and create a better future for himself.
Scrooge was horrified with what he saw in the future because he witnessed the impact of his own greed, indifference, and selfishness on both himself and those around him. The future revealed a lonely death and the lack of any genuine love or care from others, making Scrooge realize the consequences of his actions.
Pity. They see that he is only a fool to himself. He distances himself from those that care, isolates himself and is ignorant too the plight of others.
When the ghost of Christmas Future shows Scrooge his grave.
The ghost takes Scrooge to re-live specific times of Scrooge's own past life and allows him to see the good and the bad of that life and to understand that these events are what made him and that he can not changes these now but he can make changes for the future
