There is no leader of Sikhism currently. But Sikhs call their leaders "Guru". The first Guru who formed Sikhism was called Guru Nanak
The foundations of Sikhism were laid down by Guru Nanakji in the late 1400's, but Sikhism as we know it today's was formed on Vaisaki day 1699 by Guru Gobind Singhji
Sikhism originated in the Punjab region of India.Most of the Sikhs live there and surrounding states but they are also spread worldwide especially in countries like UK,USA,Canada,Australia.New Zealand, Kenya.Germany, etc
As a religion Sikhism is against Caste System and Sikh Gurus throughout condemns the practice of caste system. However, due to traditional and social influence as well the lack of Sikhs in understanding their Gurus teachings, it was never been taken out of Sikhism and as such caste distinction do exist no matter even if it exist at lesser level.
