If the solar panels are conected directly to an engine or motor or any electric item directly the enrgy will go in the electric item and you cannot store the energy the item will start working ,if you connect an battry or capaciter the energy will be stored in that and when ever you want to use it you can use it,and if the solar panel is not connected to any item the energy will go waste.
Thermal energy can be converted into alot of things just go find out what it is.
The sun's light, which is electromagnetic energy, can be directly converted into electrical energy by solar cells via the photoelectric effect. We've probably all seen this, even if it means just using a solar cell powered calculator. Also, the electromagnetic energy can generate thermal (heat) energy in things. We can focus mirrors to heat a thermal sink that heats water to generate steam. This steam can be used to spin a steam turbine. The thermal energy has been converted into mechanical energy and then into electrical energy. Plants convert the electromagnetic energy of light into chemical energy in photosynthesis. And we've all heard of this phenomenon. All light, including that from the sun, can be thought of as tiny packets of energy, called photons, speeding through space at 300 000 kilometers per second. When such a tiny light-packet hits something it can knock an electron out of its orbit around an atom. When this happens inside our eyes we register it as seeing. When it happens inside a solar panel, the panel can capture the electron and force it to go around a circuit, thus creating electricity. yes. solar pannels use light energy from the sun and transfer it for another use. e.g heat energy for a kettle or kinetic energy for a remote controlled car ...

solar power
Solar energy is broadly defined as the total energy that the sun radiates through visible light and other unseen electromagnetic waves. Solar energy systems refer to any technology that converts the sun’s energy into another form of energy, such as heat or electricity. Solar energy includes passive solar systems, solar thermal systems for water or space heating, and solar power. Solar power is a a subset of solar energy, a more narrow term that typically refers to the conversion of the sun’s rays to electricity. The two main kinds of solar power systems are photovoltaic (PV) systems, which convert sunlight to electricity directly with a semiconductor material, and concentrated solar power (CSP) systems that first convert sunlight to heat before using the heat to generate electricity. Go solar with SunEdisonInfra dot com which offers distributed solar energy across residential, commercial/industrial, rural segments and other emerging technologies.
The sun's rays are converted into energy
Some gets absorbed and converted into other energy forms. Most of the energy will eventually get radiated back into space.

Nowhere. Energy cannot disappear. It is all either reflected or absorbed.
It is converted to bond energy
Solar energy is energy radiation. If you live on earth, then your solar energy comes from the sun. It is used to power facilities, and other uses. Some environment friendly cars and motorcycles have solar panels on them. In a way, solar energy is vitamin d to us. It can be used for many things. Go Green with the Sun is one of the good title for a project on solar energy.

It gets converted to other forms of energy. Quite often, most of it eventually gets converted to heat, i.e., unusable energy for the most part.
Yes, provided our Sun doesn't go out!
