The "East Caribbean Territories" was an economic union (amongst other things) established in 1981 and consists of Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla and British Virgin Islands. It was offically known as the "Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States" (OECS). It is generally located in the Caribbean Sea area to the north of South America and to the east of Central America.
