a pumpkin
?? Pumpkin's??
No, the pumpkin grows above ground, part of the pumpkin plant will have roots underground.
rephrase your question
My opinion is because that when the pumpkin is carved, air comes out of the pumpkin which makes it grow small fungus and eventually grow big strands of fur.
We had a pumpkin plant. It didn't really grow up, but it did grow outward. If you plan on planting pumpkins, make sure to have a lot of space.
White pumpkin seeds grow the biggest pumpkins. See its really quite strange, that those little white pumpkins grow the largest pumpkins. So, if your going to join a pumpkin contest, grow your own white pumpkin seed and enter that one. just don't use it to make a Jack-o-lantern. Thanks for asking!:)
No, they grow on the ground.
