No it is not because you can eat baking powder and you can't eat metal.
Would you EAT baking powder? In quantity? If so, this might be a reasonable question. If a recipe requires baking powder, it likely requires flour and sugar as well. That's where the calories are, not in baking powder, which is used for leavening not to add calories to baking.
I want to know if eating baking poweder is harmful to your healh. I love eating it.....My kids think that I have a problem...I will go to the bathroom
Baking powder has cornstarch in it so possibly there is a problem with starches in general. You would have to find out if this is the case or it is only potato's.

Neither baking soda nor baking powder is a yeast, but each is a leavening agent. In addition, baking powder contains cornstarch, which those who observe Passover strictly do not consume. It is correct to say that baking soda and baking powder both are not yeast as yeast is a living fungus. Yeast however is also a leavening agent. Baking soda is bicarbonate of soda or sodium bicarbonate and it's chemical compound formula is NaHCO3. Baking powder is a combination of bicarbonate of soda, corn starch, & usually 2 acids depending on the type of baking powder. Also those who observe Passover do not eat leavened bread, which is bread made without any leavening agent be it baking powder, baking soda, or yeast. Generally unleavened bread for passover is baked with a dough made of flour, water, & salt. (NO LEAVENING AGENT WHATSOEVER)
Answer:Flour, salt, butter, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla, oil, yeast, shortening, raw eggs.
Yes, but you should only use 1/3 of the amount of baking powder specified, when switching to baking soda. i.e do not substitute on a 1:1 basis. Baking powder is a 1:3 ratio of baking soda to cream of tartar. So although baking soda is not exactly the same as baking powder, it is also far stronger. Your cookies will turn out slightly differently, but using baking soda is better than leaving out both leavening agents, since this will result in really hard cookies. Alternatively, use self-raising flour and miss out baking powder and soda.
I had a cockatiel once that really liked the cleanser I kept by the bathtub. It scared the heck out of me, but everytime I forgot to put it away the bird was back for more. Eventually, I gave up because I figured the bird would be already dead if it was that bad for it. Apparently it wasn't eating the stuff or it knew how much it could eat without killing itself. Baking powder is less scary than chlorine cleanser so if you're asking "If my parrot gets into the baking powder and tries to eat it, will it kill him?" the answer is no. I hope baking powder isn't something you would think of intentionally giving a bird, it isn't nutritious.
Baking powder won't hurt you unless you eat a lot of it. The taste of baking power is a bitter taste not that far from vinegar. Baking powder is an acid, so its sour. I wouldn't recommend tasting it.
