Gaius Julius Caesar was born in Subura, Rome to Gaius Julius Caesar and Aurelia Cotta on 13 July, 100 BC. He was a Roman general and statesman, and became dictator of Rome. He was stabbed to death on 15 March, 44 BC by a group of senators and aristocrats led by Marcus Junius Brutus in the Theatre of Pompey, Rome while attending a Senate meeting. Caesar spent a fair part of his life away from Rome engaged in military campaigns and furthering Rome's relations with other countries.
