because musicians has the word music in it and singers are musicians.
Singers do not work in the same place everyday, although if their on tour, they'll work in the venues/stage where they'll rehearse for their concert. other days they can work in the studio, etc.
The first thing to do is forget about the "fame" part. The second thing to do is to work at becoming the best singers you can possibly be-- even better than possible. If it's meant to be, the fame thing will come. But be aware that many great artists never saw fame. It is elusive.
