In the water
The Gulf Stream is a massive, warm current that flows northward from the Gulf of Mexico, through the Straits of Florida. The Laborador Current is a cold, southward flowing current that runs closer to the coasts of Canada and the USA.
Gulf Stream
I know of no special name for southerly flowing streams. 'Draining in a southerly direction' would perhaps be a description.
The North Atlantic Conveyor, also known as the Gulf Stream
Current duhhh!(:
The North Atlantic Current is a vast, slow moving warm current. It is created from the Gulf Stream and the Labrador Current joining at southern Greenland, which creates the widening and slowing of the Gulf Stream. The North Atlantic Current splits near western Europe, one part creating the warm Norway Current flowing northward along the coast of Norway and the other creating the cold Canary Current deflecting southward, eventually warming and rejoining the North Equatorial Current.
The Gulf Stream?
it is an instrument to determine the velocity of flow at required point in a flowing stream.

A river mouth is a portion of a stream where it merges with another stream. Note that here the definition of stream is not "a small river", but "any flowing current within well defined banks."
