This indicates your ABS has a problem. Could be broken wire, a misaligned sensor or a number of other things. You need to go to your agency to get it checked.
you most likely have a bad front abs speed sensor....take your van to an auto parts store an have them run a code test for that will tell you if it is the left or right side.

Go to advance auto or Auto Zone and have them clear the computer code.
Possible loose wire. Have the system checked for trouble codes. to know for sure.
Fix the problem and the light will go out. Normally on Volvo 850's the ABS sensor goes out (actually a wire comes loose inside the unit) this sensor is under the hood on the ABS unit.
The new wheel bearing includes the ABS sensor. They are not available separately.
The ABS warning light is on to tell you that there is a problem with the ABS system. Take your car to a knowledgeable mechanic and hook it up to a diagnostic tool and source the problem. It can be as simple as a ABS sensor/wire conector or it may be the ABS modual. Fix the problem and the light will go away. Hope this helps. "G"
Well it depends on whether or not it has the 4wheel ABS upgrade or not. For some goofy reason, they offered 2wheel ABS standard and 4wheel ABS optional. Only real way to know for sure is to go look at the front calipers and if there's a split line then you have 4wheel ABS. You could also just go lock 'em up!
i have the 1992 3800se with that same wire... don't worry its an aux. hookup used for diagnostics
