The new wheel bearing includes the ABS sensor. They are not available separately.
wheel bearing and sensor need replaced. another of GM's wonderful (notice the sarcasm) products. have had my car 4 years and have had to replace both twice.
most likely you will have to replace the hub bearing assembly autozone for about $80
You need to replace the rear wheel hub - bearing and speed sensor inclusive
To replace a 240 dl bulb failure warning sensor, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety. Locate the sensor, typically found near the rear light assembly or in the vehicle's fuse box. Remove the old sensor by disconnecting its wiring harness and unscrewing it if necessary, then replace it with the new sensor and reconnect the wiring. Finally, restore power by reconnecting the battery and test the system to ensure the warning light is no longer illuminated.
this has to do with the sensor in the wheel bearing, unfortunatly the sensor and wheel bearing are one unit. first you have to find out which wheel bearing it is and then replace it, these can be expensive. I've had to replace both of mine within months of each other. take it to get a diagnostic done they can tell you which bearing it is.hope this helps
changing the crankshaft sensor
If it is 4x4 remove axle from wheel bearing assembly and then remove the wheel bearing assembly. Make sure the tone ring (looks like a ring with teeth) is still attached to the spped sensor side of the bearing, if not, replace wheel bearing assembly with an assembly that comes with the speed sensor. Replacing a speed sensor without a tone ring is pointless because it won't work.
Replace the sensor
you may need to replace the sensor for the coolant, there should be a wire connected to it.
To replace a rear wheel bearing of a VT Commodore, remove the hub from the car and press it in and out. The bearing has an inner and outer seal. The inner seal has a magnet for the abs sensor. Make sure to install the new bearing before the abs will pick up a speed fault.
If the traction control and ABS lights are on after changing the rear wheel bearing, it could be due to a few reasons. Check if the ABS sensor was properly reconnected or damaged during the bearing replacement, as a malfunctioning sensor can trigger the warning lights. Additionally, ensure that the wheel speed sensor is clean and free of debris. If the issue persists, consider using an OBD-II scanner to check for any diagnostic trouble codes that could provide more insight.
If either of the speed sensors are bad this will cause the ABS system to shut off and the ABS warning light to come on. Unfortunately, you can't replace just the speed sensor since it is integral to the wheel bearing assemblies. If the speed sensor is bad you must replace the entire wheel hub assembly. The costs involved are $85 - $90 for the wheel bearing assembly and 1.5 hours of shop time.
