The apex of the heart is inferior to the rest of the heart. The base is superior to the rest of the heart.

The heart has three surfaces: anterior, inferior and posterior. The anterior, sternocostal surface, the inferior or diaphragmatic surface and the base of the heart, the posterior surface.

By definition, apex is the lowermost and outermost portion of the heart. So it has to be inferior.
If you mean the heart's apex, it is close to the inferior aspect of the heart. If you mean the lung's apex, it is superior to the heart.
Is it's posterosuperior surface. Made up of the left atrium for the most part, and also a bit of the right atrium. The left ventricle makes up the apex.
