Moonwalk - An illusion where the dancer seems to be pulled backwards while he actually walks forward. Breakdance Technique made famous by Michael Jackson. Due to the lack of gravity, you need to put extra effort to walk on the surface of the moon. It would be like someone pulling backwards while proceeding forward. (An object which weigh 30KG on earth weigh only 6KG on moon). Thus the name - Moonwalk.

No, it wasn't. It's origin dates back to the 30's. There's no record of what it was called prior to the late 70's when it was being called the "backslide." It was changed to the "moonwalk" around the early 80's during the time of break-dancing.
