You need to use a funnel and add it where the dipstick is.
how do i fill up the transmission fluid
In the transmission.
You might want to check your transmission fluid, with your engine running, open the hood, find the transmission "dipstick" pull it out and check tel level of fluid on it. If the level is normal, then you should go to your garage mechanic, not the dealership(unless still under warrenty).
Transmission fluid doesn't go into the engine.
The 2 lines that come from the transmission and go to the radiator are full of transmission fluid and the radiator is what cools it.
The same place the transmission fluid dipstick is. Be sure that you actually need to add fluid or you can cause serious damage to your transmission.
what is the problem when the car will not go in drive or reverse? and the transmission fluid is still full
In the transmission. You add fluid the same place you check the fluid level. Buy a transmission funnel to make it easy.In the transmission. You add fluid the same place you check the fluid level. Buy a transmission funnel to make it easy.
The reason your 1999 transmission will not go is the fluid is too low. Apparently enough fluid leaked out of your transmission so it will not operate.
to add transmission fluid its usually on top of the transmission. theres a cap to it and it can be lossened. to check the fluid theres a bolt sitting on top of the transmission toward the front of the car
This is not good with any fluids in you car or machinery. It can affect operation, ruin or blow seals etc. You can get a pump at car parts stores (I got one) that is very handy to have. I would suggest you go buy one and pump some of that transmission fluid out. Right at the fill tube!!!!
the transmission dip stick is red, you use funnel to put fluid in there
