Where does tidal wave energy come from?

It depends which wave you're talking about. There are many different ones,

and the energy they carry has different origins.

-- The energy in ocean waves and sunny-day light waves and heat waves

originates in the sun.

-- The energy in the sound wave emitted by a violin string originates in the

arm muscle of he or she who draws the bow. (Actually in the food she ate

the night before the concert, which ultimately came from the sun.)

-- The energy in a seismic wave originates in the Earth's core.

-- The energy in the waves of golden wheat in the field originates in the sun,

heats the air, and the wind carries it to the wheat.
